Popis: | 104 This study aimed to understand retired teachers’ motives for retirement, as well as the process of becoming an educational volunteer. This study was done through an investigation into how the retired teachers join the career as an educational volunteer. The research was conducted qualitatively using "semi-structured in-depth interviews." The research instruments used for the study were interviews, observation and collection of secondary data. In this study, we have obtained the following results: 1.Among retired teachers’ motives for retirement, changes in educational reform policy and the teachers’ career developments both have the greatest influence. 2.If the retired teachers have had a preliminary plan of their life before retirement, they will adapt better. 3.If the time to retire is to be selected again, independent teachers will choose to retire on schedule, those who like to interact with students and their parents will choose to post pone their retirement, and those who want to dedicate more time to a volunteer group will decide to retire earlier. 4.The retired teachers have all kinds of volunteers to choose, and they will generally select the type of volunteer close to their specialties. 5.A teacher’s personal network will affect the type of volunteer that the teacher chooses to become after retirement. 6.The retired teachers who become volunteers similar to teaching or that they have served as before their retirement will adapt better. |
