The study of self-optimizing power and receive antenna number control (SOPRANC) algorithm for high mobility SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver is the main purpose of the thesis. The optimization objective of SOPRANC is to make the uplink SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver to generate the minimum transmit power and the maximum average throughput under different data rate, user speed and interference power autonomously. The major working items include the design of SOPRANC mechanism for uplink SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver; the training data for adaptive network fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) controller is collected from the simulations of blocking error rate (BLER) of uplink SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver over high mobility channel; the performance of the high mobility SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver with SOPRANC is compared with the traditional high mobility SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver in which the open loop power control (OLCP) method is considered; finally, the performance and power consumption of the high mobility SIMO-SC-FDMA transceiver with SOPRANC are compared with the fixed 1x8 SIMO antenna mode.
