Popis: | 103 Around the world, people are faced with busy lives and technological and economic pressure so that the rate of Melancholia raises without notice. Melancholia not only leads to physical and mental burdens but also jeopardizes lives. The issue should not be overlooked. World Health Organization (WHO) points out the fact that Melancholia tends to happen in patients between 20-50 years old. Some literature, related to people in their early twenties and ready to work, so called "younger people," has shown that a healing environment can trigger them to heal themselves and increase their positive power. Moreover, the physical and mental health of spatial users can be increased. Hence, if users' feelings can be taken into consideration in a living room design, it can help them to heal themselves and obtain their mental and spiritual health. In light of this point of view, the study focused on investigating emotional preferences and perceptual feelings of younger people with different lifestyles. Based on literature and questionnaire and interview result, perceptual factors taking younger people's preferences and design elements into account such as A.I.O. inventory, Semantic differential scale and Emotional preference elements had been concluded. The study resulted in 5 major freshman groups, which were (1) acute fashionable seekers,(2) impulsive shoppers, (3) positive seekers,(4) confident fashionable seekers and (5) flexible seekers. Younger people with different lifestyles demanded different perceptual healing environments. Acute fashionable seeks preferred something popular, characteristic and healing. Their preferred spatial design usually tend to be white within a tidy, bright, simple and characteristic space. Impulsive shoppers preferred something characteristic, comfortable and steady. Their preferred design were simple walls and ceilings with images, especially with themes, so as to create an uncomplicated atmosphere. Positive seekers preferred something popular, steady and comfortable. Their preferred design belonged to flowing spatial planning and transparency among individual spaces with materials which made spaces look fashionable. Confident fashionable seekers preferred something exquisite, popular and comfortable. The collocation of cozy wooden walls and cold marble was their preference. Flexible seekers preferred something cozy, exquisite and comfortable. Their preferred spatial design were country style, flowery wall paper and Line trim decoration. Younger people's Top 5 favorite emotional healing design elements were open and comfortable space, balanced color collocation, quiet space, practical and convenient function and nostalgic space. As a result, the study concluded younger people's preferences and perceptual perceptual factors in healing environments. It is hoped that the results can be used as references for people involved with interior design. Furthermore, spatial design with younger people's healing environment preferences can help them produce positive emotional connection to deal with pressure and adaptation problems. |
