Popis: | 103 The present study considered Kyocera ceramic tools (alumina and titanium carbide base) with surface roughness of 0.6 μm as the basis to determine the tool life. Finishing test and analysis of dry cutting on the feed, spindle speed, and cutting depth of the workpieces using the hardness of HRC58 after heat treatment by SKD11 were conducted using the nine sets of experimental parameters in the Taguchi’s orthogonal arrays. The study explored the relationship among the cutting conditions, tool life, and processing efficiency by pursuing optimum machining efficiency on the prerequisite of meeting the quality standards of tool life. After analysis of the data, we found that under the speed of 400 rpm, feed 0.07 mm/turn, and cutting depth 0.2 mm, the blade could achieve the tool life of 53 min and the best cutting efficiency. Taking company S as an example, under the original cutting condition of speed 300 rpm, feed 0.06 mm/turn, and cutting depth 0.2 mm, the processing efficiency could improve by 56% according to the calculation. Furthermore, this study analyzed the relevant data by Mathematica and successfully solved the coefficient empirical formula tool life. This is valuable for the estimation of the tool life of tools in the future. |
