Recently, it is been a trend that many foreign companies began to introduce mentoring function as a business management approach as internal knowledge transfer and coordination of workplace interaction tool to solve the problems and trouble caused by work stress. This study attempts to explore the relationship between leadership and job stress. While understanding the moderating effect of mentoring functions between the two variables. With the methodology of questionnaire survey, and took small and middle business services mechanic as research subjects. Surveys were mailed to 400 individuals. A total of valid surveys were 307. The obtained data was then analyzed by reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, and hierarchical regression; its main findings are as below : 1. The relationship between Autocratic leadership and work stress is positive. 2. The relationship between Democratic leadership and work stress is negative. 3. The relationship between leadership styles and work stress would be significant while considering the mentoring function as a moderator variable.
