Design and Energy Efficiency Analysis of Smart Heat Insulation Solar Glass

The main of this study was to research energy saving efficiency and power generating ability of smart heat insulation solar glass (SHISG) using in building glass materials. We changed different kind of glass to compare these ability of heat insulation and energy saving efficiency by using glass testing room build in NTUST E2 building. Testing optical properties in each the component of SHISG and compared with the result of glass testing room. We also build four SHISG at vertical angle faced in north, west, east, south, four direction to measurement SHISG power generation in a day. Last we used software simulation SHISG apply to a single structure analyzing it energy saving efficiency in one year. The studies show that PDLC film used in SHISG has better energy saving efficiency, EC film used in SHISG has better transmittance, lower power require. The simulation result show that both two kind of electrochromic film used in SHISG can saving over 25% energy in air conditioning and solar generation can provided enough power to electrochromic film. So SHISG is a great glass building material in BIPV.
