In this study, in addition to explored the rock asphalt blending technique, the feasibility of the rock asphalt blending technique and its application to sand asphalt pavement is explored. In the beginning, the physical properties of various experimental materials are explored, and then explore the techniques of rock asphalt blending, including that rock asphalt mastic modified petroleum asphalt grout, utilizing rock asphalt grain to replace part of natural particle materials, and cement asphalt paste mixes with rock asphalt grains. Through the various blending techniques, the optimal blending ratio is developed. In final, using sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete that mixed by modified asphalt model III as control group, and matched group were mixed by sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete contained rock asphalt according to the optimal blending ratio. Further, sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete and sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete contained rock asphalt are compared through the test results of mechanical property, pavement performance, durability property, and acoustic characteristic in order to assess the efficacy of the rock asphalt blending techniques and its application in sand asphalt pavement. Research finding shows: In the respect of the rock asphalt blending techniques application for sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete, through test results of mechanical property, pavement performance, durability property and acoustic characteristic and comprehensive assessment, it is found that rock asphalt- containing sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete blended by rock asphalt mastic modified petroleum asphalt grout and rock asphalt grain to replace part of natural particle materials has better quality than that blended by, also can reach the level of control group. Overall, among the rock asphalt blending techniques, rock asphalt mastic modified petroleum asphalt grout and rock asphalt grain to replace part of natural particle materials applied in sand asphalt graded asphalt concrete are better in quality, thus validating the feasibility of rock asphalt mastic modified petroleum asphalt grout and rock asphalt grain to replace part of natural particle materials applied in sand asphalt grade asphalt concrete pavement.
