A Case Study on Competing Process of National Overseas Chinese Senior High School's Drama Club in National Students Competition of Creative Drama Art

Popis: | 103 In 2014, National Students Competition of Creative Puppet Drama Art was renamed National Students Competition of Creative Drama Art due to the addition of the category “Stage Drama”. It offered a stage for the students from National Overseas Chinese Senior High School to display their creativity. This research aims to record the participation of the students of National Overseas Chinese Senior High School in this contest and provide a description of the operation of the drama club of the school as well as an observation of the competition. This research started with a literature review using a content analysis. Subsequently, an observation was conducted of the activities and the rehearsals of the drama club. As the next step, interviews were administered to understand the opinions of the contest of the subjects, which helped the researcher analyze its benefits and influences. Lastly, multi-testing procedure method was adopted to verify the data and the results so as to increase the reliability. In conclusion, this research found five effects after students attended the drama competition: Ⅰ. To improve student's oral expression abilities. Ⅱ. To increase student's courage and confidence. Ⅲ. To build positive and active personality development of student. Ⅳ. To improve student's abilities of interpersonal relationships and team work. Ⅴ. To increase student's adoption of compression resistance. According to the research, the suggestions for relative participants and national drama competition as below: Ⅰ.The suggestion for students is well time management, if students feel pressure could ask teachers for help. Ⅱ. The suggestions for administrators of National Overseas Chinese Senior High School: (1)To improve available space and provide additional help of resource for drama club. (2)To increase teachers of drama education in school. Ⅲ. The suggestion for teachers is to help students by using professional drama resource of National Taiwan University of Art. Ⅳ. The suggestion for parents is to encourage students with open-minded attitude and support. Ⅴ. The suggestions for organizers of the contes: (1)To encourage every county applies competition with full amount. (2)To open and encourage each team visits competition for more interactive learning. (3)To adjust seats of judge to audience for the best view. |
