Popis: | 102 The purpose of this research is to analyze the impact of globe shale gas mass production on the energy industries of Taiwan. Shale gas exploration started in the 1980s, horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technologies lead the mass production of shale gas in American. Shale gas production had grown rapidly in recent years, and is projected by the US EIA to achecive 43% of the natural gas supply in 2015. However, the development of shale gas around the world will definitely cause lots of industrial and environmental impacts. This research focused on the impacts caused by development of shale gas in Taiwan. The literature review and SWOT analysis were applied in this research, to idetify possible impacts on enery industries, energy prices, and envirnment. Three main conclutions were provided in this research: (1) The usage of natural gas should be improved in Taiwan, to reduce the need of nuclear power. (2) It’s recommend to develop shale gas technologies and renewable enery at the same time. The petrochemical industries shold responsible to develop shale gas technologies to reduce the production of green house gas. The investment of renewable energy shold be develop in the government research institutions. (3) Early investment in shale gas issue is a very important work for government agencies in Taiwan. To make sure the energy obtain unhindered. |
