This thesis aimed to describe the family, grow-up environment and education history of Ms. Lillian R. Dickson that builds up her faithful Christianity, multiple international outlook, outstanding leadership and sophisticated diplomacy. Those characteristics contribute to the ministry of “The Mustard Seed Mission” founded by her, and enable her as an independent leader. As a wife of a missionary travelled to Taiwan, Ms. Lillian had to adapt herself to circumstances, take care of her family, assist her husband’s missionizing. She is capable in all respects as a full-time house keeper. Also following the view of being a mother, she decided to start the ministry of “The Mustard Seed Mission”, to help poor Taiwanese with different ways. Even limited resource, she always provided the most needed assistance to recipient. Apparently, her rescue career is holistically caring, through the socio-medical service of Black Foot Disease. For her ministry of “The Mustard Seed Mission”, mailing is a powerful tool. Through mailing letters, she connected the donors in US and recipients in Taiwan, unifying them as a completed human being. For Taiwanese, Ms. Lillian helps them. For Ms. Lillian, a group of American Christian donates her. For the donors in US, they follow God’s guiding, love others as self. Even that the ministry of “The Mustard Seed Mission” is enormous, it was supported by many individual assistance, not by profit-seeking enterprise or log-term donation institute. The daily donation is always unpredictable, from which Ms. Lillian and her partners learned the trust of God. It is a test of life; also make us understand the work of God. However, Ms. Lillian joined the plan of God and co-work with Him. Ms. Lillian was passing away many years. However, “The Mustard Seed Mission”, established by her, still runs. Following combination of Farewell and Gospel, enhanced by the concept of “Child as root, Home as core, Community as basis”, it connected all churches in Taiwan to achieve further more community cares. “Let us go to where we are needed most, since once in a lifetime”. Shall we consider what we can leave for next generation? Keywords: Lillian R. Dickson, “The Mustard Seed Mission”, Black foot disease, wife of missionary.
