在動態幾何環境下探討國小四年級個案學童對四邊形包含關係之認知情形

The research aimed to explore how the fourth-grade students understand the inclusive relationship among quadrilaterals through interacting with dynamic geometric software. Their understandings of “a square as a form of rectangle” and “a square as a form of rhombus” were compared. Ten 4th-grade students from remoted primary school in Taoyuan city, Taiwan participated in the research. Data from semi-constructed interviews and learning sheets of dynamic geometric software were collected and analyzed. We found that some of the participants understand the inclusive relationship among quadrilaterals but most of them can’t recognize a square as form of rectangle due to the myths that a rectangle should have different widths and lengths. However, they can recognize a square as form of rhombus due to rhombus’ figure of same length of four sides regardless the angles of corners. When a rhombus has right angles, they recognize it as square or when rotating a square by 90 degrees, they recognize it as rhombus. We also found that some participants tended to describe a square or rectangle by the figure of lengths of sides while ignore the figure of angles and thus resulted in the ambiguous knowledge toward square and rectangle.
