A Study of Construct Community Counseling Model for Refuge Services of the Abused Women

| Popis: | 103 The purpose of this study was to explore the content of refuge services of the abused women, and the applying of community counseling model for refuge services of the abused women. This study adopted qualitative method by conducting in-depth semi-structured interviews with two social workers and one living care assistant who has experience in refuge services of the abused women. The information were compared and analyzed by open coding, axial coding and selective coding. The results have shown that connotation of the service have periodic differences, and promoted by the purpose of the institution. Safety assessment of the case is crucial before the residential placement. According to clients' needs, making use of individualized services to assist clients' acclimatize and resource usage during the residential placement. After the refuge, emotional support and resources could make clients more stable when they return to the community. In community counseling model, enhance consultative resources to help clients, and facilitate the prevention and advocating work, could promote the well-being of abused women. |
