The research was based on survey responded by female married teachers in public or private preschools in Chiayi. The researcher sent 330 questionnaires (of which 300 were valid) sampled by means of Satisfied Random Sampling. The research applied the scale of preschool teachers’ working stress, the scale of the couple communication, and the scale of marital satisfaction to the survey. Then it was analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression. The results were as follows: 1.The working stress felt by female married preschool teachers in Chiayi was at a medium level. The couple communication and the marital satisfaction reached above the medium. 2.Under the working stress, aspects that were put into consideration were “expert knowledge” and “feedback from work”. It was shown that teachers with different educational background responded differently. Teachers with bachelor responded by far higher value in the aspects of working stress than those with master degree. 3.Under the couple communication, aspects were “overall”, “the skill to express themselves” and “conflict handling”. Under the marital satisfaction,“ economy”, “ society”, and “ psychology” were aspects. It was shown that teachers with different educational background responded differently. Furthermore, teachers with master degree responded higher value in the aspects concerning couple communication and marital satisfaction above than those with bachelor. 4.The female married preschool teachers didn’t perform differently regardless of their age and the age of their marriages in the working stress, couple communication, and the marital satisfaction. 5.The work stress among the female married preschool teachers indicated low negative correlation with their marital satisfaction. 6.The couple communication had medium to high positive correlation with their marital satisfaction. 7.The working stress and couple communication could predict the marital satisfaction. There were four variales, three of which under couple communication were “conflict handling”, “skill to express themselves” and “communication model” and one under working stress was “relationship with others”.These four combined could predict marital satisfaction with 61.1% variance. Finally, according to the findings, the researcher proposed several suggestions as references for the authorities, preschools, of which the female married teachers were included, as well as the future researches. |
