There are various forms of extracted solar energy, such as solar heat, solar photovoltaic, solar thermal electricity, etc. Solar energy is more environmentally friendly than fossil fuel. Due to the rising of global awareness of environmental protection, it makes solar energy as being one of the fast-growing renewable energy. Power production via solar photovoltaic will not generate pollution or greenhouse gas, however, the production cost is still high. Therefore, this study aims to maximize the produced power with minimal land area. Based on the modified model of photovoltaic system and the meteorological data from Central Weather Bureau, we propose a multi-objective optimal placement of photovoltaic panels considering dust deposition effect. We apply multi-objective metaheuristic methods to obtain Pareto front and analyze the results with performance indicators.
