The Study of Course Experiences and Learning Satisfaction of College Students Major in Hospitality

This study explores the relationship among course experience and learning satisfaction for hospitality college students in Taiwan. The time of questionnaire distributed was from Dec, 2013 to Jan, 2014. A total of 450 surveys were distributed, and 344 of them were returned. The data were used from the SPSS for descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, simple linear regression analysis, as well as, the AMOS for confirmatory factor analysis(CFA), and test of goodness-of-fit. The results indicate that (1) student background information have no significant effect on the course experience; (2) the course experience has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (3) the teaching has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (4) the skills development has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (5) the appropriate assessment has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (6) the appropriate workload has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (7) the clear goals and standards has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (8) the academic environment has a positive and significant effect on the learning satisfaction; (9) student background information have no significant effect on the learning satisfaction. Practical advices for the teacher and suggestions for further research are also proposed according to results of this study.
