Intercultural communication competence, the ability to communicate with people of diverse backgrounds, consists of three dimensions. Intercultural sensitivity, the affective aspect, refers to the willingness and affective performance, and it is also the important predictor for individual’s success in intercultural communication. This study aims to understand international traders’ intercultural sensitivity and analyze the potential factors affecting their intercultural sensitivity. The results indicated that international traders’ intercultural sensitivity significantly correlated with their English proficiency, number of foreign language acquired, time of English reading, frequency of writing and talking in English. Results of t-test showed there is no significant difference between genders, whereas variables such as having foreign relatives and frequency of traveling abroad have significant impact on their intercultural sensitivity. There is also a significant difference between English majors and non-English majors.
