The Impact of Teachers' Emotional Intelligence and Stress Perception on Job Satisfaction: The Moderating Effect of Colleagues Relationship and Personalities of Their Director

Popis: | 103 Most of the previous studies with regard to the emotion al intelligence and stress perception were focused on job satisfication and the impact of organizational commitment, and seldom use their relationship between colleagues and the personality of their director as moderating variables. That’s why we use these two variables as a moderating variables in this study to discuss if their relationship between colleagues and the personality of their director ( like school principal, Director Of Academic Affairs, Director Of Student Affairs……etc.) affect the teachers’ job satisfaction. The methodology was questionnaire survey. There were 210 teachers from public elementary schools in Taiwan sampled. The valid return rate was 95.7% and 201 teachers participated in the present study. The conclusions about this study are as following: (1) There’s no positive affect between teachers’ emotional intelligence and job satisfication. (2) There’s a negative affect between stress perception and job satisfication. (3) There’s a positive affect between the relationship between colleagues of teachers and job satisfication. (4) There’s a positive affect between the personality of their director and job satisfication. (5) The relationship between colleagues of teachers and the personality of their director has no moderating affect between teachers’ emotional intelligence and job satisfication. (6) The relationship between colleagues of teachers has a positive moderating affect between the relationship between colleagues of teachers and job satisfication. (7) The personality of their director has no moderating affect between stress perception and job satisfication. |
