This study is to develop a method for evaluating EMF (electromagnetic frequency) exposure assessment. The method combines EMF measurement with GIS analysis to investigate the EMF distribution and hazard area identification. Further application can use the information for engineering improvement or safety protection of EMF risk management. The non-ionizing radiation laboratory of HWAI OSH department was utilized for EMF measurement and a portable lazar distant instrument was used for indoor plan area monitoring. The floor plan was located with EMF measurement spots with EMF source points. Data form EMF measurement was further analyzed by Surfer graph software for evaluation. Results showed that indoor EMF intensities were dependent with the electric devices turn on and off. The maximum magnetic intensity was located around the device with circular decreased outward from the Surfer EMF distribution graph. This method is a simple, easy, fast and visual style characteristic that can be applied for indoor living space and working area EMF measurement. However, large indoor space and high EMF source need for more accurate location and EMF measurement spots. The appropriate measuring spots and distance between spots are important for EMF personnel considering the EMF evaluation.
