Life and death is the most important thing in life. Death is an inevitable topic for human. The period of adolescent is searching for the self. However, adolescents have experienced confusion about life and faced difficulties in life. They often seek death as a solution in wrong ways. Therefore, educators should concern adolescents in their development processes, such as issues of live, survive and life. To do so, educators can guide adolescents to work on self-reflection, promote them to love and cherish their life, and enhance their value of life. Frankl’s logotherapy is the belief that is the striving to find a meaning and purpose in one's life. Its philosophy also helps adolescents to look for a meaning of life. Therefore, this study was to apply the theory of Frankl’s logotherapy to explore the meaning of adolescents’ life and death education. The method of this study was as follows: Firstly, researcher realized the crisis of self-identity and their development among adolescents. Secondly, researcher made a statement that the definition, background, and content of life and death education. Thirdly, from adolescents’ concept and development about death, researcher understood the situations and difficulties of development of life and death education, which is major event for them. Lastly, researcher integrated suffering will and logotherapy in Frankl’s core theory to explore, develop, assist adolescents to affirm the value of their life from infinite possibilities of life. In conclusion, educators may offer coping strategies and profound and comprehensive contemplation toward adolescents, while adolescents face finite and impermanence of lifetime.
