The business management of the domestic junior high school concert bands

| Popis: | 103 This research was to investigate the key success factors for the business management of the domestic junior high school concert bands. It first confirms the interview subjects and research methods through collecting relevant literature. Then, it discusses the possible key success factors that may influence the junior high school concert bands’ management, proposed by the school teachers, students in the concert bands and these students’ parents. And it constructs the questionnaire through literature review, semi-structured interview method and opinions from school teachers, students and parents, which were distributed to a random sample of the concert bands affiliated in the domestic junior high schools. SPSS12.0 statistical software is used for data processing and analysis, including frequency distribution, percentage, and factor analysis, etc. The findings of this research discovered that all the responders believed that the key success factors for the school concert bands consist of “conductor’s interpretation of the composition, directing gestures and cues”, “timbre of the band”, and “intonation of the band”. While students and parents thought that “the unification of the performance”, “the band is helpful for students’ physical and mental development” and “training students to step on stage” are three key factors for a successful school band. |
