In general, the person in charge of a non-profit welfare care institution for people with disabilities often encounters stress produced by interpersonal relationship among the staff, the handicapped, and their parents. In addition, the staff's attitude when confronting disability and the inadequacy of the non-profit organization to “profitably” satisfy them and other such factors result in apathy when the person in charge exercises competent authority. Therefore, would hisleadership traits and leadership efficacy still havean impact on job involvement through the staff’s job satisfaction? To what extent? On which direction will it be concretely manifested? These are the important issues discussed in this study. For the most part, “leadership traits” are often shown through the following three facets: “interactive inclusion”, “diversified way of thinking”, and “empowerment and education”, while “leadership efficacy” is displayed through the following four aspects: “morale and cohesion”, “flexibility and adaptability”, “efficiency”, and “innovation”. A shift in the three aspects of “social interaction”, “personal growth”, and “affirmation by others”in “job satisfaction”will be projected as the varying degreesof thetwo categories of “self-expectation” and “recognition of job importance”. This means thatfinding out the degree of correlation between leadership traits, leadership efficacy, and job satisfaction and the level of job involvement is the main purpose of this study. This study takes educare givers, trainers, andlife attendants of non-profit welfare care institution for people with disabilities in Tainan as study objects. Data were mainlygathered byinvestigating collected literature and by adopting the convenience sampling survey. A total of 219 questionnaires were distributed, with 111 valid questionnaires turned in, making the effective rate of return as50.7%. As for research methods, the hypothesis of this study was mainly verified through frequency distribution, variance analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression. Empirical evidence shows that: I.Leadership traits and leadership efficacyhave positive impact on job satisfaction. II.Leadership traits and leadership efficacy have positive impact on jobinvolvement. III.Job satisfaction has a positive effect on job involvement. IV.Leadership traits and leadership efficacy generate a positive effect on job involvementthrough job satisfaction.
