A Study of the Key Success Factors of Promoting Financial Education in Elementary Schools

Popis: | 103 The purpose of this study was to explore the affecting factor on the effect of promotion of financial education in elementary school, and to analyze and construct the hierarchical structure of key success factor (KSF) of financial education promoted in elementary school, and to explore the possibility of strategy as well. For achieving the above-mentioned purpose, literature review and in-depth interview were hereby used in this study in order to identify the affecting factor on the related promotion of financial education in elementary school. Questionnaire survey with Delphi Method (DM) was conducted by 14 education experts, which was to construct the hierarchical structure of key success factor (KSF) of financial education promoted in elementary school. 25 education experts were elected to analyze the weight and importance ranking of key success factor (KSF) of financial education promoted in elementary school with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The education experts were formed from school personnel who promote and execute financial education. The findings of this study showed that the academic experts, elementary school administrative staff and teachers have different opinions on importance of key success factor (KSF) of financial education promoted in elementary school. The academic experts think that the most important phase is “ School teaching, promotion, and guidance activity”, but school administrative staff and teachers who are the first line of education didn’t realize the importance of their role. Therefore, they think that “ the function of home financial education” have higher importance. This study found that there ware two parts of management implication. For one thing, the government should pay attention for education policy decision that the people of the related circles are able to participate widely and regard, and have teaching discusses with teachers to understand the situation and demand of promotion of financial education, and to find out a resolution method. Besides, schools should enhance the ability of home financial education by means of parents education seminar, so as to benefit student’s parents, teachers and students. |
