A Study on Photocatalytic Activity of TiO2 loaded with Nano-Silver by Using 3-D Finite Element Method

Popis: | 103 In this dissertation, we numerically investigated the surface plasmon resonances (SPR) effects on photocatalytic activities using nano-silver photodeposited onto a TiO2 layer by mean of three-dimensional finite element method (3-D FEM). Results show that the proposed structure exhibits enhanced electric near-field amplitude around the metal nanoparticles (MNPs). On the basis of our simulations, we conclude that nano-silver photodeposited onto a TiO2 layer will support localized SPRs in the relevant spectral domain of near-UV, visible and near-infrared. The enhanced electric field region and intensity could be expanded as the shell thickness increased. |
