| Popis: | 103 Low entry barrier and too many small-scaled manufacturers could be found as the characteristics of Taiwan electronic connection industry. These characteristics have resulted in severe competition among companies in the industry. The other threat comes from China. Indeed, China has a very large market but with many local companies using low production cost strategy. Currently, those counterparts in China have seriously affected the competiveness of Taiwan companies. Therefore, finding a new area for Taiwan electronic connection companies to grow becomes an interesting and important issue. Traditionally, Taiwan connectors producers have been focused on the electronic products, especially in 3C products. Only very few producers have successfully entered into the automotive electronics industry. In recent years, the automotive industry has developed many innovative functions which were based on the electronic devices. Therefore, the automotive industry provides a new opportunity for Taiwan connectors producers. This thesis is to find ways for Taiwan connectors producers to successfully enter into the automotive electronics industry. Through in-depth interviews with experts in the industry, we employ the SWOT analysis for finding appropriate strategies. We also identify the key success factors from the interviews. |
