Student:Guo-Ming Lee Advisor:A-Ron Liu Submitted to Department of Social and Policy Sciences College of Humanities and Social Sciences Yuan Ze University ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to probe into the effect of the power interplay between the school administrative team, teachers association and parents association on the administrative’s decision making : three elementary schools from Tao-Yuan County as examples. The main purposes of this study are those below: The first : To figure out the general and current situation of the administrative team, teachersassociation and parents association. The second: To understand the theory between the administrative team, teachers association and parents association. The third: To understand the relationship among the power interplay between the administrative team, teachers association and parents association. The fourth: To probe the effect of the power interplay between the administrative team, teachers association and parents association on the administrative’s decision making. The last: Provide some concrete advices as for improvements to the developments and the researchs of the government, school, teachers association, parents association and future researchers. To reach the main purposes mentioned above, the researcher of this study will adopt in-depth interview approach assisted with semi-structural interview compendium as the way to collect the data needed in this study. To understand the effect of the administrative decision making for the power interplay between the school administrative team, teachers association and parents association, I interview 14 interviewers, analyze all the data retrieved from the interviews and conclude some results below. 1.The school administrative team, teachers association and parents association are fighting for organizational goals and demands, and having the consensus for the final goals of school at the same time. 2.The power interplay among the school administrative team, teachers association and parents association orignates from whether the organizational goals and demands fulfillment or not. 3.The effect of the power interplay to the administrative’s decision making is on the differences of the proportion of the organizational goals and the demands of the school administrative team, teachers association and parents association according to implement and formulate the administrative’s decision making. 4.The diffenent kind of partnership among the school administrative team, teachers association and parents association cause the diffenent influences on all perspectives. 5.The responsibility and rights of every organizations have no correspondent relations in school. 6.The power interplay among organizations shape diffenent type of schools. 7.Teachers seniority, parents socioeconomic status and leader’s personal traits effect the power interplay among organizations. At last, based on the result of this study, we will provide some concrete advices for government, school administrative team, teachers association and parents association and other related studies in the future.
