The thesis is to study the correlations among employees' job satisfaction, personalities, job characteristics, and awareness of managers' social entrepreneurship in non-profit organizations. The most of previous studies focus on the correlation between an individual's entrepreneurship and his/her job satisfaction. There is few research investigating these two variables from different subjects, especially examining a manager's entrepreneurship from an employee's perspective. This thesis conducted a research on employees who work in disability welfare department in non-profit organizations in Taichung city. Questionnaires were sent out to 63 organizations in Taichung city and effective returns were 202, which were further analyzed by using statistic software SPSS18.0. The result has shown a significant correlation among employees’ personality, job characteristics, manager’s social entrepreneurship and employees’ job satisfaction. Since the resource is often limited in non-profit organizations, those organizations attempt to create innovative activities and service to achieve sustainable operations and higher value to the society, and this is contrary to what they did in the past, which was avoiding discussions around management issues. Therefore, whether the managers or owners have entrepreneurships is critical to the organizations. This study discovered that employees’ understanding and agreement with managers’ social entrepreneurship, such as innovativeness, risk-taking, proactiveness, competitive-aggressiveness, autonomy, and sense of mission for the society, would increase employees’ job satisfactory.
