| Popis: | 102 Fung Shui is one of the cultural essences of the Chinese for thousands of years. It is a culture confirmed several times, leaving a lot of authentic treasures. Some are great masterpieces others are legendary stories. Geomancy is knowledge that belonged to the ancient emperors and literali. Some of them built massive constructions according to Geomancy, such as the Emperor Temple in the Ming and Qing Dynasty. The others constructed housings or shrines of wealthy and famous families, such as Wufung Lin Family Garden. Majestic buildings can provide the places of worshipping the dead, something common folks cannot reach. However, due to Taiwan’s economic flight in the last thirty years, houses and constructions were built as fast as ever. Prosperity in common peoples’ lives gave rise to their awareness in Fung Shui. Meanwhile, the knowledge passed from China to Hong Kong, then from Hong Kong to Taiwan (This means that the reason why the skills of Geography (山), traditional Chinese medical science (醫), fortune-telling (命), divination (卜), specialty for appearance (相) are so common), with its increasing influence. In the past thirty years, Fung Shui spread along with economic growth through the whole island. The sight of people counting “Chinese Era” (combination of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches) can be commonly seen in the streets of Taiwanese society. The research centers the architecture of modern Taiwan. The traits of building, such as the scene of it, the interior design within, and the sizes and directions of the water running of the streams outside the houses, all maters the destiny of the house and its owner. Whether there is good view of the landscape, or the mountains seen in front creates the proper line, or the mountain line behind creates the best shape, or the arrangement of those in the two sides can reinforce the Qi-field of the house, are all research targets of Fung Shui and Geomancy. The construction arrangement of a house simply matters closely with the peace and wealth of the residents. With the principles of the geography ancient and modern, the legacy of old and late masters, the lectures of masters nowadays, and actual experience personally, have come to search the truth of the operation on the universe, so can bring benefits to people and society, and common good. |
