This research aims to explore into the scores of fifth grade students in the learning performance of factor and multiple and reading comprehension tests, considering the gender factor and reading comprehension ability, analyzing the difference of genders in learning performance of factor and multiple concepts and reading comprehension ability and exploring the relevancy between the learning performance of factor and multiple and the reading comprehension ability. The research adopts a survey research method, surveying the scores of the students in learning performance of factor and multiple concepts and reading comprehension tests by means of questionnaire survey. The research takes the 38 students of fifth grade in a village of Tainan City as the samples (21 boys and 17 girls). The collected data has been analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation and t-test of independent samples. The research findings are as follows, 1. There's a considerable difference among the students in the learning performance of factor and multiple concepts, with a significant difference in degree. A relative large difference exists among the test results of low-score group while a relatively small difference exists among the test results of mid-and-high-score group. The overall average correct answer rate is 77%. The performance is not bad. 2. The scores of the students in the questions of each concept of factor and multiple are: the correct answer rate of "multiple" concept questions is above 80%, the performance is good; the correct answer rate of questions of concepts such as "exact division", "factor", "common multiple" is about 70%, the performance is not bad; the correct answer rate of "common factor" concept questions is the lowest, which is less than 60% and needs to be enhanced. 3. There's no significant difference in the learning performance of factor and multiple concepts among boys or girls. 4. The correct answer rate of the students in the reading comprehension test is about 80%. Their reading comprehension ability is not bad. 5. There's no significant difference in reading comprehension ability among the boys or girls. 6. The students' learning performance of factor and multiple concepts and their reading comprehension ability show a significant positive correlation.
