This study developed a series of courses for global sustainable development and infused them into the current science and technology curriculum in Taiwan to explore their influence on students’ learning performance. This study adopts a quasi- experimental design. Two fifth-grade classes in a primary school in Kaohsiung were involved. Courses for global sustainable development were conducted in a class as experimental group for eight weeks. The other class as the control group were taught regular curriculum. “The Global Environmental Sustainable Development Attitude Scale” and “Environmental and Ecological Knowledge Scale” were used to measure the learning performance of the two groups before and after the experiment. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, and two samples t-test, to observe the effectiveness of the program. Besides, related documents were analyzed and students’ interviews were conducted during the experiment to explore the change of students’ learning for global environmental sustainability knowledge and attitudes. In conclusion, the results of this study show that this program can improve the students’ global environmental sustainable development knowledge and attitude.
