Recreational farms are characterized by nature and biology. Due to climate changes, the growth of animals and plants is easily affected. As the natural environment is the foundation of a recreational farm, its operation and management under climate changes should be adjusted, so as to reduce the environmental damages. This study discusses the managers’ cognition for climate change and risk management in recreational farms, and the coping strategies to the climate change disasters. Finally, suggestions are proposed. The findings are as follows: 1. the main types of climate changes influencing the operation and management of recreational farms are global warming, change in rainfall pattern and extreme climate; 2. the operators of recreational farms lack disaster relief measures in the risk management of farms; 3. the recreational farm operators with higher education level have a higher cognition toward the climate change; 4. the recreational farm operators with a larger farm land have more sufficient forecast to the damage of climate change; 5. the farm operators’ advanced forecast to the damage of climate change, judgment to the loss of climate change to the farm, and judgment to countermeasures for climate change can predict the farm risk management ability. Based on the results, the following suggestions are proposed: 1. types of climate change influencing the recreational farm, disaster prevention, relief and reconstruction measures should be taken to reduce the loss and influence of climate change to the recreational farms; 2. the farm operators with education background under junior high school should establish the channel to obtain the climate change information; 3. for the small recreational farms, education training and personnel training are needed to improve the operators’ cognition; 4. there is still room for improving the farm operators’ pre-disaster prevention measures in farm risk management; 5. the farm operators are suggested to improve the forecast to the loss of climate change, strengthen forecast to the loss of climate change, and increase the judgment to the countermeasures for climate change, so as to enhance the risk management of farm climate change.
