運用層級分析法建構高雄市私立幼兒園教師甄選指標之研究

Popis: | 102 In recent years, the society and the family structure have been changing. These cause the sharp decreasing birth rate and the tendency of fewer children. Under the stress of market competition, the concept of customer orientation arises. The job of private kindergarten teachers has been transformed gradually from profession to service. For the heavy multiple loading in teaching and administration, the kindergarten must exclude efficiently the unfit candidates in recruitment and select outstanding teachers to improve the competitiveness of the kindergarten. The quality of kindergarten teachers is highly relevant to the success of child’s education. A competent teacher is one of the most important conditions to ensure education quality. An unfit teacher improperly influences children physically and psychically. There were many researches about selecting kindergarten teachers in the past. But most of them were based on public kindergartens, and few of them was for private kindergartens. Consequently, this study induces the indicators of selecting private kindergarten teachers in Kaohsiung through literature analysis and Delphi method. These indicators are divided into three dimensions: personality traits, profession and teaching, and service and counseling. Then they can be subdivided into 13 indicators. Five indicators from personality traits are emotional stability, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Four indicators from profession and teaching are professional knowledge in child education and application capability, well preparation in teaching and implement of teaching plan, positive words and interaction with children, planning by using multiple evaluation and technical application. Four indexes from service and counseling are, discipline in the classroom and crisis management, class management and behavior counseling capability, respect to children, tolerance for differences between children, and assistance and cooperation for administration. Secondly, this study calculates the weights of the three dimensions with Analytic Hierarchy Process. In important sequence are personality traits (47.9%), profession and teaching (28.3%), and service and counseling (23.8%). Also this study calculates the weights of the thirteen indicators, and the results indicate that emotional stability (15.5%), agreeableness (15.5%), professional knowledge in child education and application capability (9.2%), conscientiousness (9.0%), and openness (7.7%) are the top five of the most important. Furthermore, this study constructs a scale of selecting private kindergarten teachers in Kaohsiung according to the above indicators and weights. It helps the managers assess the candidates more objectively. Finally, suggestions based on the empirical results are proposed.
