As the importance of environmental protection is recognized worldwide, it becomes mandatory to have plant wastes be managed and processed properly. Through remanufacturing process by waste-water processing plant, valuable metals cane be extracted, recycled, and sold as company’s income. This recycling process is beneficial to the waste-water processing plant and metal buyer, but not the electronics factory. The study investigates the effect of the application of revenue sharing (RS) mechanism to the waste-water supply chain under the assumption of uncertain metal demand. The three-stage waste-water supply chain is composed of single electronics factory, single waste-water processing plant, and single metal buyer. Mathematical models based on single-period model (i.e., newsboy model) are developed. These models are used to determine the optimal purchasing quantity, the best revenue sharing percentages for each supply chain member and the selling price at each stage. The profits of each supply chain member under the two scenarios (with RS, without RS) are compared to see whether RS can bring benefits to the supply chain. Real-case data is applied. Research results indicate that RS do help every supply chain member to increase their revenues. So is the supply chain total revenue. This effect brings the electronics factory closer to the waste-water processing plant and the metal buyer. This implies that RS not only provides economic benefits to the supply chain but also enhances supply chain relationship.
