Popis: | 102 This thesis is to investigate the effects of device efficiency based on different types of TiO2 nanoparticles as the electron transport layer in organic solar cells. The study is divided into three topics. First of all, use TiO2 nanoparticles (P25, P20) as the electron transport layer in regular structure. Through trying different solvents, concentrations, and speeds, the optimal efficiency can be achieved. Utilizing AFM and FE-SEM measurements, the factors can be analyzed. The second topic is using TiCl4 to synthesize TiO2 nanoparticles as electron transport layer in the inverted structure. The properties of optimal thickness and uniformity of the TiO2 layer were found which can enhance the device performance. In order to investigate the influence of device performance, the distribution of the TiO2 nanoparticles obtained via FE-SEM measurement and thickness of the electron transport layer measured from ellipsometry need to be discussed. The third topic is mixing the metal nanoparticles with the TiO2 nanoparticles synthesized form TiCl4 to have better device performance.
