Popis: | 102 This thesis presents an adapted interpersonal reaction scale that corresponds with the Chinese cultural contexts, in order to address the academic challenge of assessing how the Chinese handle interpersonal reaction. In a preliminary step to its construction, the scale was devised based on Yang’s “one-for-all and all-for-one” model, selected from reviewed theories on the interpersonal reaction of the Chinese. After studies that measure the interpersonal reaction of the Chinese were reviewed to address their measurement limitations and scale items were derived from these studies, a draft interpersonal reaction scale was prepared for empirical investigation. The content validity of this draft scale was evaluated by experts, the scale modified afterwards. Given that the combination of literature review and expert validity might have equated theoretical and practical aspects of the scale, the instrument was put to the empirical test. It was pre-tested and—after its reliability, validity and factor structure were all confirmed—re-modified for the final test. In the final test, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling were applied to the scale, and the results confirmed its structure and theory. |
