Popis: | 102 Excellent Talents are always an important capital of a company. It has been a great issue to every company about how to attain and retain those excellent talents. This study makes a good understanding of salaries which separate into three parts: fixed income, indirect welfare and variable-pay(bonus) from literature survey; It indicates that the most effective one to drive excellent talents is variable-pay(bonus), and the equity-related variable-pay can do more to combine employees'' interests and firm’s goal. This study analyzes and compares the different impact of different salaries systems to the executives and employees between two technology corporations by case study. It also discusses the relationship between the change of executives and variable-pay(cash or stock bonus), the employees turnover rate and average employees’ pay which includes fixed income and bonus. Later on, it shows how the two companies react to the policy of Expensing Employee Bonus which launched in 2008, and what are the results to the reactions. In the end, this study uses the analysis of the two technology corporations to solve the problem that company A encounters. This study discovers that the level of salaries and bonus play a big rule in the problem of attaining and retaining excellent talents. Besides that, there are many other possible factors that can affect it. Such as salaries system, welfare system, stock price, prospect of the industry and social reputation are all possible factors to it. If this kind of problem can’t be handled well, it may cause a vicious circle that losing excellent talents can make the company’s performance go bad(make less profit, stock price goes down, etc…); In which situation, the bad performance leads to a worse condition of attaining and retaining excellent talents. |
