While traditional industrial plants are converted to high-tech factories, better anti-vibration environment is required to ensure effective and satisfactory functioning of the installed costly precision machinery. The basic restriction of this research is to preserve the plant building structure. The tactics is to minimize the distance between center of mass and center of rigidity of each floor through relocation of production lines and heavy equipments. Theoretically, by doing this, the vibration of the building due to earthquakes can be reduced. An existing four-floor traditional industrial building is chosen as the target of this study. Dynamic linear time series analyses have been implemented using commercial structural analyses package ETABS. The maximum displacements and accelerations of the structural are investigated for various step by step adjustment of the loads.Further, an uniform load case was used to check the effectiveness of the various deployment. Results show that the relocation of the equipments could reduce the dynamic responses such as displacements and accelerations. However, this method is not effective for structure with small eccentricities.
