| Popis: | 102 Since 1970, the democratic country development has arisen. It makes a wave of democracy spread around the world. Under the democratic trend, the national security is the main consideration. The role of military police around the world becomes more and more important. Since 1923, our military police has gone through every period of Taiwan''s democratic development and evolution. It plays the important role with its functions in every historical stage. The military police has been still one of the significant power of national security until now. In response to the trend of disarmament in the world, reducing the defense budget, slowing down cross-strait relations and the modification of national security strategies, the number of our military police is downsized down gradually. Its importance has been ignored by the people little by little. In the face of the trend of increasing the importance of the global military police, our nation chooses the opposite path. Therefore, the reduction strategy to the national army would affect the importance of the existence of the military police. This study uses social, political, environmental factors, such as national defense policy to search for the evolution of the military police’s role and functions. Military polices'' task and them station were located in the metropolitan area. If we properly use of their characteristics of high mobility, rapid response, and use to support for maintaining law and order, execute natural disaster prevention and rescue, prevent from counter-terrorism and execute the missiomof garrison area, will reach to defend the important goal of national security. Face with the feature policy of national defense and change of the current situation. It provides recommendations for future developments of our military police. It makes the military police and national democratic development become advancement and mutual prosperity to achieve the goal of becoming the high quality national defense troop with "appropriate amount, fine quality, power of strong." |
