Mobile devices have rapidly developed in recent years. From the primary personal information management – PDA, in the early days that provided functions like notepad, calendar and contacts, etc. until today’s well-developed smart mobile devices, the main difference is that current mobile devices allow users to install or remove application software accordingly. Many technology products have been replaced due to the development of mobile devices, the investment methods of general investors have also changed for the same reason. There are mostly angel investors in domestic stock market, which explains the use of mobile devices being gradually popularized. This research investigates into stock exchange perceived risk found in the differences between current and past investment methods, platforms, and location shift of general investors. An understanding of the differences in perceived risk between general investors and mobile platform providers is therefore formed through the studies and discussion. This understanding not only enables risk reduction, loss reduction in stock investment exchange via mobile devices, but is also beneficial to mobile platform developers. These developers will be able to establish mobile platforms that are efficient and closely meet user needs, moreover, to provide investment information accurately and quickly in a stable and secure investment environment. Based on the in-depth interviews of this research, a summary of provided opinions on perceived risk in mobile device usage is formed in hopes to share the analyzed results with share brokers. This reference will help to strengthen the information system as well as improve mobile platforms to increase the competitive advantages of share brokers in the market. The evidential results of this research show: 1.Mobile platform users place more emphases on financial risk and performance risk comparatively. These users are more concerned about the loss due to achieved results not meeting their expectations; hence choose to avoid potential risks. 2.The development of mobile platforms enables manpower cost reduction as well as advertising and promotion investment reduction for share brokers. Once the operating costs are decreased, it allows mobile platform users to conduct stock exchange with lower service fees. 3.Mobile platform users place more emphases on financial risk, performance risk and time risk, whereas mobile platform providers are more concerned about social risk comparatively. 4.Risks can be reduced through adjusting and lowering the differences in perceived risk between mobile platform users and mobile platform providers.
