This research is to study the performance by improving the existing kick-out mechanism of the bolt forging machines. The existing kick-out mechanism is unable to push up the blanks by pneumatic component completely after head-trimming in the last station. In order to reduce the numbers of breakdowns and to avoid unnecessary cost and delayed caused by the failure of the existing kick-out mechanism, it is the primary aim of this study to improve the performance of the existing kick-out mechanism by adding kicking components. The proposed method is demonstrated by implementation in the bolt forging machines. The results obtained show that the kick-out mechanism by adding kicking components is effective in decreasing the defective products and increase the facility of bolt forging machines.
