Dual-Band Small Planar Monopole Antennas for WLAN Applications

Popis:	102 In this thesis, four kinds of small planar antenna designs for WLAN applications are proposed. The proposed antennas use different techniques to generate dual-band operations. First, the dual-band antenna is presented by using the coupling effect between the inverted L-shaped monopole and the ground plane with an extended strip to excite an operating mode in the lower band. Next, the two antenna designs are based on the rhombus monopole by etching the meander silt on the radiating monopole to produce dual-band characteristics. The fourth antenna design is mainly to etch two L-shaped slit on the ground plane, which produces an operating mode in the upper band. The measured results show that the proposed antennas are suitable for dual-band WLAN applications and the most smallest size is 10 × 15 × 0.8 mm3.
