A Survey Study on Recycling Knowledge, Attitude and Behavior – A case of Pedro Juan Caballero Citizens

| Popis: | 102 The objective of this study is to determinate and evaluate the recycling knowledge, attitude and behavior of Pedro Juan Caballero citizens. Therefore, this work will contribute as a scientific support for future improvement of the recycling system in this city. A total of 219 surveys were collected online for this study. SPSS software as major tool was adopted to the collected data. Results show that knowledge has a significant positive influence on attitude, attitude has a significant positive influence on behavior, knowledge has a positive influence on behavior and these variables are positively correlated. The correlation evidence suggests that those who have basic recycling knowledge tends to have a positive attitude towards recycling and thus are more likely to recycle. Female respondents tend to have more positive attitude than male respondents. The respondents below 18 years old shows a higher positive attitude towards recycling then others groups. Finally, the respondents from 35 to 64 years old have more proper recycling behavior. According to these results, improve recycling education will build a positive attitude, and increase the recycling rate in this city. |
