Popis: | 102 The thesis is to analysis through the rise &; fall of history of Taiwan bicycle industry and consumer behavior change, the execution of lean manufacturing strategy to achieve competitive advantage. This consumer behavior is changing. It started from rarely owning a bike, to own a bike, and to own a high value added bike. Also, in this thesis, there is depiction on what Taiwan bicycle industry went through on the challenge among world wide competition in the past, and the rising of severe competition globally in the future. The conclusion of this thesis is how Taiwan bicycle industry should do to build up competitive advantage by reinforcing corporate strength to adapt the changing business environment, to achieve the optimal R&;D, production, service scale, so it will obtain more oversea business and gain reasonable profits. This thesis uses a specific research methodology of data collection, industry analysis, domestic and global divergence. It involves bicycle industry supply chain, domestic and foreign bicycle industry, and concludes in the format of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat for Taiwan bicycle industry. There is also SWOT analysis for individual company and then Cross-comparison analysis with the whole industry. From this analysis, this thesis can offer the action plan and improvement proposal to this individual company and to build up the strength of the company. This thesis also examines Taiwan bicycle industry status and competence from individual company K. This company K has production facility in Taiwan only, so it can best represent the theory and strategy of lean production strategy at Taiwan bicycle industry. Taiwan has been the global center of bicycle development and production. All leading global brands come to Taiwan to look for OEM, ODM partners to be more competitive. Under this circumstance, K needs to keep improving its business management, optimal production scale, high value added bicycle design. The core competence is quality assurance, on time delivery, and cost control. The lean strategy is to build up customer service, implement &; reinforcement R&;D, and production. |
