The data collected was analyzed by statistical package, and the results are as follows: 1. In the category of “job involvement,” the elementary school teachers of Miaoli County were highly involved in their work. The involvement was the highest in “concentration on work” and relatively low in “evaluation on work.” 2. They were most effective in “teaching strategies and management” and relatively low in “course plan and preparation.” 4. Among all the background variables of “job involvement” of the elementary school teachers of Miaoli County, “age,” “marriage status” and “children” were significantly different. No significant difference was observed in the variables of“work-family conflict.” For the variables of “teaching effectiveness,” “years of experience,” “marriage status” and “children” were significantly different. 5. For the elementary school teachers of Miaoli County, the correlation was low and negative between “job involvement” and “work-family conflict,” high and positive between “job involvement” and “teaching effectiveness,” and low and negative between “work-family conflict” and teaching effectiveness.” 6. The “fun at work” dimension of “job involvement” had significant power of prediction on “work-family conflict” for elementary school teachers of Miaoli County. The “job involvement” had significant power of prediction on “teaching effectiveness,” and “concentration on job” had the greatest power of prediction. The “time-based FWC” dimension of “work-family conflict” had significant power of prediction on “teaching effectiveness.” Finally, conclusions and suggestions were made based on research results for the reference of school administration, teachers and future studies. |
