Popis: | 102 Polyvinylamine (PVAm) is a novel polymer product. PVAm can be widely used as a reactive polymer due to its strong polarity, which is easily reactive with other groups, of its primary amine group in the polymer chain and its chain length and electric charge density can be designed and manufactured based on actual industrial application and usage. This study focuses on the application assessment of adding PVAm into recycled pulps. Experiments will be based on Dynamic Drainage Analyzer to simulate paper machine’s wet end condition while adding separately the operation factors: dry strength agent, PVAm, and fixed factors: aluminium sulfate and rosin sizing. Retention rate, drainage time, bursting rate, and water absorption degree will be measured to determine performance of PVAm. Data shows the higher the degree of hydrolysis of PVAm, the better result for experiment across the board. When directly substituting dry strength agent with PVAm, the drainage performance and bursting strength are non-distinguishable to dry strength agent save for the retention. However, when PVAm is combined used with dry strength agent or polyacrylaminde (PAM), drainage, retention, bursting strength and sizing appear to be much better. Especially when using with high molecular weight ampholytic dry strength, retention rate is increased by 23%, drainage time is decreased by 47%, paper sizing is increased by 41%, front side paper bursting strength is increased by 9%, back side paper bursting strength is decreased by 24%. |
