The Key Factors of Parents' Selection of Preschools-in Miaoli County

| Popis: | 102 Recently, the birth rate is getting low .Parents have more educational choices. Since 2012, all pre-school educational institutions collectively referred to as preschool .At the same time, all of them have to be managed by the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and obey the same sources of laws. This event makes pre-school institutions to obey more stringent specifications and attacks to those operators how to manage. The operators of the pre-school educational institution must try to enhance their competitiveness. At first, they must understand the factors of parents’ selection of preschools, as the basis of developing marketing strategies. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the factors influencing parents’ selection of preschools in Miaoli County .This study also determine the relational structure of the various factors .In this study, it divided the factors of parents’ selection of preschools into five dimensions, including “the environment and facility”, “the image”, “the origin of establishment”, “the quality of education and childcare”, and “the price and benefits”. Every dimension has individual criterions. First step, the objects of survey are related departments scholars, the related government officers and the experts of the industry of preschools in Miaoli County .It combines DEMATEL and MMDE to analyze the data and to get the threshold .It also analyzes the relationship among different dimensions .The results showed that “ the image” is effected by “the environment and facility”, “the origin of establishment”, “the quality of education and childcare”, and “the price and benefits”. “The quality of education and childcare” is affected by “the environment and facility”, “the image”, and “the origin of establishment”. Second step, the objects of survey are parents of preschools, It adopted PRANP to analyze the data and to get the importance sequence of criterions .And the top three key factors of parents’ selection of preschools are “preschools educator”、“school characteristics ”、and “the content of education and childcare ”. Based on the results, the operators of the preschools can draw up suitable strategies to enhance the competitiveness by the reference. |
