Popis: | 101 Between 1991 and 1992, 16 new banks were established and authorized to begin operations. At the same time, trust and investment corporations, major credit unions, and small &; medium business banks were allowed to restructure themselves as commercial banks, following regulatory approval. This has led to a dramatic increase in the number of commercial banks, and competition has greatly intensified. Many institutions have thus lowered lending standards and interest rates in a bid to secure clients, seek growth, and increase market share in credit services, which constitute the primary source of profits for the banking industry. Under such circumstances, the burden of profit generation has rested solidly on the sales and consumer finance divisions of banks. How will these divisions face the challenge of staving off competitors and improving performance for their banks in a difficult environment? In a typical sales division, senior management is responsible for overall organizational performance while sales personnel work on the front lines in direct contact with clients, with both roles equally important to institutional success. This study sought to analyze how the sales personnel at the Greater Taipei consumer finance regional center of F Bank responded to different leadership styles of senior management, and how work satisfaction and work performance were affected as a result. Research was conducted through interviews. Suggestions based on study results were proposed, for the reference of future studies. |
