This study aims to investigate the effects of using a bilingual concordancer on EFL students’ revising process of L2 writing. A sample of 33 students voluntarily enrolled a remedial writing program at a university in central Taiwan. They were identified with similar level of English writing proficiency and divided into two groups, 15 students in the experimental group with process-oriented concordancer-approach and 18 students in the control group. The data collected in the study include: (1) the pre- and post-tests of writing proficiency; (2) open-ended questionnaire; and (3) students’ action logs recorded in the online system. The results of the study showed that the students’ progress in writing proficiency was positively related to the use of the bilingual concordancer. In particular, the students in the experimental group made even more progress than those of students in the control group. Second, the students benefited from using the bilingual concordancer in terms of grammatical rules, usages of words, and words in contexts in the revising process. In the revising process of L2, the students developed inductive thinking and learner autonomy. The students held positive attitudes toward using the concordancer and expressed the willingness of future use. They also made suggestions for the design of the bilingual concordancer for further implementation.
