Up to now, low hardness and poor wear resistance are the unsolved issues of pure titanium and titanium alloys. The pre-treatment of alkaline electrolyte prior to anodic oxidation process is formed to be useful to address the abovementioned problems. The process parameters such as time used for surface pretreatment andanodic oxidation, the pH value of electrolyte, the anodizing voltage, and the temperature of the electrolyte can be effectively influencing the properties of resultant production. By optimizing these parameters, the wear resistance, hardness and roughness properties of pure titanium and titanium alloys can be significantly improved. To judge, the characteristics of anode coatings formed at different treatments are investigated by FE-SEM, wears resistance test, roughness, and micro-hardness tests. The founding in this experiment: using ph 13, alkaline NaOH solution temperature 2℃ can have a good surface hardness and wear resistance, compare with the acid H3PO4 solutions. This experiment tries to add 10g Na2SiO3, NaAlO2 and Na4P2O7 in the NaOH solution, in order to enhance surface hardness and wear resistance. The results in this experiment founds that by add 10g Na2SiO3 has the best of film thickness and hardness and wear properties.
