| Popis: | 101 This study is aimed to investigate the difference of self-learning program and traditional lecture course on the natural science environmental awareness advocacy. Environmental protection concept for Junior seventh grade was taught with the same media propaganda content. The traditional teaching method focuses on multimedia presentation in class which may be easy to understand but may not enhance the students’ willingness to learn. However, the same materials incorporated with the students' self-learning experience and discussion may enhance the effectness of learning. This study adopted a "quasi-experimental methods, such as group pretest-posttest design". Taoyuan Junior High School seventh-grade students were selected for the study. They were divided into the experimental and the control group. "Taoyuan coastal algal reefs disappear" multimedia video was presented and coupled with the traditional lecture or self-learning program. Junior high school basic environmental concepts and algal reefs disappear concept of pre-test questionaire, posttest questionaire, and posttest quiz were distributed to both groups.
