The Relative Study of Leisure Participation, Job Satisfaction, and Life Satisfaction – Cite One Example of Police Officers.

The purpose of this study is to explore how entry level Taiwanese police officers’ feel their participation in leisure activities reflects on job satisfaction, as police officers. Entry level police officers in Chiayi County Police Department are the subjects of the investigation. A total of 1,133 questionnaires were distributed, and 936 valid questionnaires have been used as the population sample. The research methods include descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, multiple regression analysis, variance analysis, and Pearson correlation analysis. The age and the gender of the most subjects are 41-50 year old married males, with children, and they are graduates from The National Taiwan Police College. In terms of professional roles, the subjects are administrative police officers who mostly live in Chiayi County. 1. The research results show their leisure activity is mainly chatting while drinking Chinese tea. 2. As for job satisfaction, a stable income obtains the highest score. 3. Family members concerns about each other’s health relates to life satisfaction. 4. The different demographic variables on leisure participation, job satisfaction, life satisfaction variance analysis. 5. Life satisfaction, job satisfaction are significantly related to leisure participation. 6. Leisure participation plays an important role in predicting their job satisfaction and life satisfaction. The research results offer a textual contribution to related police units, as a reference study.
